Rex Vandermark
Rex Vandermark has been a dedicated volunteer at the Memorial Tournament for over 22 years, and in that time, he has worked over 50 hours during Tournament week working on Status Boards, Press Room, Sandwich Factory, Concessions and Bears for Children's – anywhere his support is needed.
Rex’s commitment to the Memorial Tournament goes beyond just the hours he puts in. It’s about the dedication he brings to every role he takes on. Over the years, he has become a quiet yet powerful leader, guiding his fellow volunteers with patience and a deep sense of responsibility. His mantra has always been: "How can I best support the Tournament? Every hour worked is for the kids."
While Rex’s contributions in 2024 are worthy of recognition, his impact is truly defined by his years of service. For over two decades, Rex has selflessly given his time, energy, and expertise to the Memorial Tournament and Nationwide Children’s Hospital, always keeping the kids as his top priority.
The Memorial Tournament is fortunate to have many dedicated volunteers, and Rex stands out as one of the most deserving. It’s not just his unwavering commitment or the countless hours he dedicates throughout the week, day and night, but also his deep passion for the cause, his quiet yet impactful leadership, and the way he embodies the spirit of the Tournament. Rex’s selflessness, generosity, and professionalism, combined with his genuine love for supporting Nationwide Children’s Hospital, make him not just an outstanding volunteer, but a person we are privileged to work alongside.
